HIMSS Career Services, Professional Development and Nursing Informatics have partnered with Sharp Healthcare to present the Nursing Informatics Institute, a one-day, in-person event will introduce key concepts of nursing informatics, including who are informatics nurses? How is informatics changing the role of nurses? What role do nurses play in achieving meaningful use? Speakers include Joyce Sensmeier, MS, RN, BC, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, FAAN, Vice President, Informatics, HIMSS; Willa Fields, DNSc, RN, FHIMSS, Professor in the School of Nursing at San Diego State University; Liz Johnson, MS, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, RN-BC , VP, Applied Clinical Informatics, Tenet Health; and Barbara Radice, RN, MS, Vice President, SHARP. This event will take place on Jan. 27, 2012, in San Diego. Registration is $75 per person, including luncheon.
